Step 1: Connecting The Telephone Cable

Locate the telephone cable. This is a long, white cable with connectors on either end. One end has a small square connector (Connector A), and the other has a large rectangular connector (Connector B). Take the telephone cable and plug Connector A into the socket labelled ‘LINE’ on the back of your new lifeline alarm.

Step 2: Connecting The Telephone Cable Cont.

Plug Connector B of the telephone cable into the socket labelled ‘UK’ at the back of the Sky Hub.

Step 3: Setting up the Telephone Adaptor

Find the telephone adaptor. This adaptor has a connector on one end of the cable and a receiving socket on the other end. Plug this connector side of the adaptor into the socket labelled ‘Italia/ROI’ on the back of the Sky Hub.

Step 4: Home Telephone Connection

Plug the cable from your home telephone into the receiving end of the telephone adapter that you have just plugged into the back of the Sky Hub.

Step 5: Power Cable Plug-In

Plug the black mains cable into the socket labelled ‘DC’ at the back of the alarm unit. Next, plug the other end into a plug socket and turn it on. This is the technical process now complete.

TESTING YOUR PERSONAL ALARM

Please follow the tests below once you have set up your Personal Alarm to ensure that you are familiar with its functions and the alarm is working correctly.

Alarm Test

Press the big red square ‘Help’ button on the top of the lifeline alarm unit. A member of our Response Team will answer shortly to confirm the successful alarm call. Please let them know that you are testing the alarm.

Pendant Test

Now press your red pendant button. A member of our Response Team will confirm that this test has been successful.

Range Test

Next, walk to the furthest point of your home or garden from the lifeline alarm unit. Press the pendant button and walk back to the alarm unit. A member of our Response Team will confirm through the loudspeaker that your Range Test was successful.

Broadband Check

Finally, if you have a broadband connection in your home, please check to make sure it is still working correctly.
