PLUSNET HUB
Step 1: Connecting The Telephone Cable
Locate the telephone cable. This is a long, white cable with connectors on either end. One end has a small square connector (Connector A), and the other has a large rectangular connector (Connector B). Take the telephone cable and plug Connector A into the socket labelled ‘LINE’ on the back of your new lifeline alarm.
Step 2: Connecting The Telephone Cable Cont.
Plug Connector B into the telephone socket on the back of your Plusnet Hub.*
*Sometimes, the telephone socket on the back of the Plusnet Hub will be covered by a sticker that reads ‘For Digital Voice Customers.’ Please remove this sticker to complete Step 2.
Most Plusnet users will have phones that can wirelessly connect to their Plusnet Hub and will not need to connect a telephone to the alarm. However, if you do have a traditional home telephone that you would like to continue using, please follow on with step 3. If you do not have a traditional telephone, please move straight to step 4.
Step 3: Connecting The Telephone Adaptor
Find the telephone adaptor. This adaptor has a connector on one end of the cable and a receiving socket on the other end. Plug the connector side of the adaptor into the socket labelled with a ‘telephone symbol ☎’ on the back of the lifeline alarm unit. Once this is connected, plug the cable from your own home telephone into the receiving socket on the adaptor.
Step 4: Power Cable Plug-In
Plug the black mains cable into the socket labelled ‘DC’ at the back of the alarm unit. Next, plug the other end into a plug socket and turn it on. This is the technical process now complete.
