A Personal Alarm is the ideal solution for older, frail and disabled residents who are living alone here in the United Kingdom. The Personal Alarm can really make all the difference if you suffer from a fall or feel unwell – at any time, day or night – and could save your life.
We have created an infographic filled with facts and figures to show just how dangerous a fall could be in your home – and how common they are for older people.
Hard Facts about Falls in the Home
Personal Alarm Summary
Personal Alarms allow older people to remain in their own homes, rather than having to move into care. They also take away the fear of what could happen to you if you have a fall and who would be there to help you.
Our system comes in two simple part; the Lifeline Vi Base Unit and the MyAmie Pendant. The base unit plugs directly into your telephone line, whilst the pendant button goes around your wrist or neck. If you have a fall or feel unwell you simply need to push the red button on your pendant.
This sends an alert through to our 24/7 Response Team, who will respond via the base unit loudspeaker. They will speak with you to see what has happened before taking the appropriate action. Commonly, this will mean calling for your emergency contacts and asking them to go to your home urgently. The emergency services will also be contacted if you require medical treatment.
