Our life-saving Personal Alarm service is a brilliant way of allowing vulnerable people to remain independent at home. However, many people find additional comfort in the Lifeline accessories that can be added to the standard pendant package.
For some, these accessories can be the difference between worry and peace of mind, and they should be strongly considered by all existing and potential Personal Alarm users.
1. Alarm-linked Smoke Detector
Every household needs to have smoke detectors installed, however our system provides extra protection and security. Our smoke detectors are connected to our Personal Alarms, and therefore our 24-Hour Response Team.
If smoke is detected by the optical sensor, the smoke detector uses the Lifeline Alarm to alert the Response Team. They will then contact the alarm user to assess the situation and, if needed, will call for the fire service immediately.
The smoke detector seamlessly integrates with your Personal Alarm to give protection against fire – one of the most serious threats to people at home. The 10-year battery life also gives you one less thing to worry about.

2. Keysafes
Keysafes add extra security to your home by giving you somewhere to store your spare house keys. You’ll no longer need to hide them under doormats and plant pots, instead you can lock them away in a secure metal box and combination code.
A keysafe can also be considered as a life-saving device, as it works perfectly as part of our Personal Alarm service. In a situation where our Response Team have called for the emergency services on your behalf, they will be able to share your keysafe code with the paramedics. This ensures that even if the door is locked when they arrive, they can gain entry quickly and safely.
Without the keysafe code the paramedics may have to wait for your emergency contacts to arrive or force their way into your home, which could be costly. The time saved with a keysafe could make all the difference.

3. Additional Pendants
An additional MyAmie Pendant is very useful if you have two people living in the same property. Instead of a having a second alarm in this situation, the second person simply wears an additional pendant.
Alternatively, some of our alarm users also take out an additional pendant just to have a spare around the house. In fact, some people like to switch between pendant as they go out into the garden so that they don’t get their “inside” pendant dirty.
If you’re unfamiliar with the stylish and discreet MyAmie Pendant, here are some key features:
- It can be worn around the neck or around the wrist, with both attachments included alongside the alarm.
- There is no need to worry about charging your pendant as it has a seven-year battery life. A free replacement will be posted to you once the existing battery begins to run low.
- You can keep your pendant on in the bath and shower as it is waterproof.
- You’ll be protected around your home and outside in the garden, thanks to a range of up to 100 metres.
This extra option is available at a price of £49 per year on the Annual Plan, or £5 per month on the Monthly Plan. The prices given at VAT Exempt. To find out if you qualify please read our VAT Exemption guide.
